Cityheart are appointed as Herefordshire Council’s Development Partner to deliver purpose-built student accommodation to attract students to the Hereford College of the Arts and a new university, the New Model in Technology & Engineering (NMITE).
As part of the joint venture partnership, Cityheart are responsible for design, finance and development risk in addition to operational and management roles following completion. Cityheart have partnered with the Council to secure a site for the development and have also provided an innovative funding package, which creates a long-term investment for the Council and cheaper rents for students.
Cityheart’s appointed contractor partner ENGIE is delivering the first building for 2021 utilising Modern Methods of Construction. The first building, comprising 178 student beds, has been constructed utilising a full modular build system and will be completed in Summer 2021.
