Cityheart Sprint raises £4500 for Clatterbridge
Cityheart has raised £4500 for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity on the Wirral and in Liverpool. Towards the end of last year, the Cityheart team ran, walked, cycled and swam the length and breadth of our schemes across the UK, from Bishop Stortford to Inverness and in between, finishing at the wonderful Clatterbridge Hospital – a total of 1924 miles.
The team’s progress was measured by virtually travelling around all our development sites. The initial target was set at £4,000 which, the team smashed raising a fantastic £4500.
Cityheart Office Manager Eleanor Leslie who organised the endeavour commented: “As a highly competitive team we are always looking at fun ways to raise money for local and worthwhile causes.
“Clatterbridge is a charity that is very much close to our hearts. Virtually all of us have been affected in one way or another by cancer and we wanted to ensure our latest challenge supported the fantastic work that they do.”
Helen McLoughlin, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Clatterbridge Cancer Charity commented: “We’d like to thank Cityheart for their wonderful support of Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. Donations such as this help us to support and enhance the care of our patients, and also enable vital research into new cancer therapies and cures. We are so very grateful to you and your team.
