Cityheart worked in joint venture with Community Solutions Partnership Services (CSPS) to design, deliver and finance a 3,100m² integrated resource centre, housing two former independent GP practices together with community NHS services.
Developed on the site of the former Frodsham High School, the scheme is one of the largest health centres in the North West and provides a range of services to the local community.
As Development Partner, Cityheart’s role included acquiring the land, completing the design development process, obtaining planning consent, appointing a contractor and managing the construction phase through to delivery in December 2011, on schedule and on budget. The buildings were designed to BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and through detailed design review, Cityheart and its project team were able to improve efficiencies and reduce the overall size of the accommodation by 25%, providing substantial savings for the NHS.
